ROCK HOUND TOURS

 There's nothing more enjoyable then finding your very own natural treasure. Fortunately for us, the Appalachian Mountains are full of these brilliant stones just waiting to be found. Doc's Rocks offers a unique outing adventure where Doc himself takes you to his favorite gemstone finding hot spots and teaches you how to hunt gemstones like a professional.

To book an outing, please give us a call at least two weeks ahead. 

Summer Tours 

Summer tours can be scheduled to go out 7 days a week, Rain or shine. Peak season is from May through October. Doc will also schedule special time slots for larger groups upon request. There will also be a few special trips booked by Doc himself to special 'hard to get into' places like active mines. keep an eye on the 'anouncements' page to catch these special trips.

Private outings must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. (NO EXCEPTIONS) Private outing usually run around $35 per person and children under 10 are always free with a paid adult.

keep in mind that weekdays are easier to get a slot and NO trips will be sceduled on holiday weekends.

No tours will go out from November 1st through the end of april due to the fact that it's TOO DANG COLD to be playing in the water in the mountains in the middle of winter!
